SPRING TIME CHECK IN

So much has happened since the last blog ringing in SPRING. From the changes in politics, to uncertainties of employment, to the rush in stores to speed holidays up.... You know, I was in store over the weekend, and there's already FALL items for sell? Life is coming at us fast. Spring is almost over, taking us into Summer. With that fact, here are a few things we all can do to hold on to this season a little longer while celebrating life.

 1. Rejuvenate Your Self-Care Routine: Put YOU First

Self-care isn’t selfish—it’s necessary. Taking care of yourself physically, emotionally, and mentally is key to feeling good inside and out. Let’s level up:

  • Move Your Body: Take a dance class, go for a springtime walk, or try a new workout. Movement isn’t just about fitness—it’s about feeling alive and powerful. May go-tos are JUST DANCE for the Wii gaming system, and NIGHTLY dance parties with my youngest. We take turns picking up to 4 songs on Youtube to sway, jump, sings, and get loose to just before bedtime. Hell, if the music is just right, the bigger kids join the fun, too.

  • Pamper Yourself: Schedule a spa day, get a fresh mani-pedi, or just take a long, luxurious bath with your favorite book and a glass of wine. If money is tight, hop into your local Dollar Tree to pick up products like, fashion nails, bath bombs, face masks, or other amazing skin care products to pamper yourself. Trust me, Dollar Tree has stepped up their game.

  • You DON'T have to spend BIG BUCKS to FEEL like a million. It's ALL MENTAL.

  • Unplug & Recharge: Take breaks from social media and give yourself space to simply be. Enjoy the sunshine, read a book, or meditate. Hang out in nature to ground yourself. Instead of the couch, sit in the backyard and read or watch Netflix. The fresh air, the sounds, even the sunlight helps to regulate us.

2. Revise Your Goals: Spring-Clean Your To-Do List

A new season is a fresh opportunity to check in on your goals and adjust them for success.

  • Assess & Adjust: Look at the goals you set at the beginning of the year. Are they still relevant? If not, tweak them or create new ones that align with where you are now or the current changes in the economy. The key is to NOT GIVE UP. As my granny would say, 'There's more than one way to skin a cat'.

  • Break It Down: Set small, achievable milestones so you stay motivated.

  • Create a Vision Board: Visualizing success can help bring it to life. Make a board with images, quotes, and goals that inspire you. Remember, Life & Death are in the power of the tongue, but the BATTLE is fought and won in the MIND.

  • Celebrate Wins: Reward yourself for progress, no matter how small. Confidence grows when you acknowledge your successes.

3. Reinvent Your Social & Love Life: Bloom Where You’re Planted

Spring is the season of connection and new beginnings, so shake things up in your personal life too!

  • Expand Your Circle: Join a new club, attend networking events, or take that fun class you’ve been eyeing. Or go the cheaper route by shopping, taking walks, or hanging out in a different zip code. You'll be surprised who you will meet.

  • Plan Fun Outings: Whether it’s brunch with friends, a solo weekend getaway, or trying a new hobby, embrace the joy of experiences.

  • Date Yourself: Treat yourself to solo dates—go to a café, museum, or just enjoy a sunset walk. Confidence comes from knowing you enjoy your own company.

  • Say Yes to Love: Whether you’re single or in a relationship, embrace romance and connection in whatever way feels right for you.

Final Thoughts

Spring is the season of growth, renewal, and stepping into your power. By refreshing your look, mindset, self-care routine, goals, and social life, you can boost your confidence and make this season your most fabulous one yet.
